Materials & Care

Tumla Materials

The materials used in Tumla products contains ECONYL, which is a regenerated nylon yarn made from garbage and litter retrieved from our oceans and can come in the shape of fishing nets and alike. The collected trash is then regenerated into new nylon yarn through a unique process without the use of harmful chemicals.

By using ECONYL we are reducing our environmental impact by up to 80% compared to the use of nylon produced in a traditional manner with crude oil.

The fabric we use is a mix of 78% ECONYL and 22% ELASTAN to get that perfect 4 way strech and snug fit. The fabric has a STANDARD 100 by OEKO TEX, which means that the fabric is tested for any harmful substances, and is certified as harmless to human health.

With suberb resistance to both chlorine and suncream, a UV protection of UPF50, and free from harmful chemicals, you can be sure that your new swimwear will last for a long time and will make both you and our planet happy.

Care

Hand wash all Tumla products cold (30 degrees Celcius). Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Hang in the shade to dry. Rinse with fresh water after every use. Be careful with chemicals such as sun screen lotion and oils, and make sure to wash it off. Do not leave your swimming wear out in the sun as it may cause loss of colour. And most of all, love your products.
